Logo Guidelines
Logo concept
The opshell.dev logo combines a geometric server symbol with a clean lowercase wordmark. The symbol represents server infrastructure through an abstract arrangement of stacked forms, reflecting the structure, layers, and operational nature of modern infrastructure. Its minimal geometry communicates technical precision and simplicity, while the green accent establishes the brand's active and operational character. The light opshell.dev wordmark provides balance and readability against the dark technical environment.
Symbol and wordmark
The symbol is the primary visual identifier. Its stacked geometric construction can suggest servers, infrastructure layers, structure, and the practical work of operating systems; it is an abstraction, not a literal server-rack illustration. Keep the mark simple and do not add decorative elements.
Use the lowercase wordmark opshell.dev. Its technical, modern, approachable character supports the developer-focused brand, while its simplicity lets the symbol remain visually prominent.
Color and use
The primary logo pairs a bright-green symbol with a light/neutral wordmark on a dark background. Green is the infrastructure and operational accent; the light wordmark preserves contrast and balance. Keep this relationship consistent in the primary dark-background treatment, and maintain enough contrast for the wordmark to remain readable.
Brand personality
The logo should feel technical, reliable, minimal, modern, infrastructure-focused, and practical—a brand built by people who operate systems, rather than a generic technology company.
